POLICE SHOTGUN INSTRUCTOR UPDATE

Pre-requisite: All participants MUST BE current firearms instructors.

The one-day Police Shotgun Instructor update will address the use of rifled slugs and current issues related to Less Lethal ammunitions. The course will include all aspects of shooting shotgun slugs including policy development, ballistics, shooting principles, slights and will include a qualification session. The Less Lethal component will cover current policy and also address Less Lethal munitions for wildlife control.

Required Equipment and Dress

• Range Attire or Class B Uniform
• Department issued shotgun (slings are optional)
• 25 rounds of slugs
• 25 rounds of 00 buck
• 50 rounds of birdshot
• Eye and Hearing Protection
• Weapon Cleaning Equipment
