N.J. SAFE SCHOOLS RESOURCE OFFICER TRAINING COURSE

The N.J. Safe Schools Resource Officer Training Course is a five day course designed for Police Officers, School Administrators, and Security Officers. The course emphasizes the role and responsibilities of law enforcement in the educational environment, networking and conflict resolution and the development of instructional skills. As well as, Juvenile Law, Juvenile Complaint System, County Intake, Juvenile Interviews, Juvenile Processing, Crisis Management, Active Shooter, Family Crisis, Instructional Techniques, Curriculum Development, Behavior Threat / Risk Assessment, Cultural Diversity and funding.

All officers who have been placed in a school environment as a School Resource Officer must attend this mandated training.
