THE LAW OF INTERROGATION AND VIDEO RECORDING OF SUSPECT INTERVIEWS

This course will explore the laws governing the questioning of suspects and the legal requirements of video recording of suspect interviews. Topics such as when a suspect must be advised of his/her rights and when the police must cease interrogation, the tactical and technical considerations of the interview and recording process, and basic investigative techniques that will enable you to interrogate suspects as thoroughly as possible while obeying the case laws restricting police interrogation will be discussed. This course is recommended for all law enforcement personnel.
