EYEWITNESS IDENTIFICATION AND LINE-UPS AND MEMORALIZING OUT-OF-COURT IDENTIFICATIONS

This half-day course is designed to acquaint the attendee with current research and recently implemented Attorney General Guidelines on the topics of Eyewitness Identifications, Photo Line-ups, and Live Line-ups. Practical examples of building a defensible line-up and the process of showing a line-up to a witness will be used. The course will also familiarize Police Officers with the requirements of this recent court decision and directive which addresses the legal requirements of accurately and properly recording the results of Out-of-Court Identifications performed by witnesses.
