CRASH INVESTIGATION II

This course is designed to provide the patrol officer with the basic skills and techniques necessary to conduct an accurate traffic crash investigation. Participants will learn to recognize, preserve and record physical evidence, and the legal aspects of the traffic crash investigation. Topics will include measurements, diagrams and photographs of crash scenes. The course will also address interview techniques, in order to obtain reliable information from persons involved in and witnesses to traffic crashes.
This is a rigorous program of classroom instruction, practical exercises and several over night homework assignments, over the two week period. In order to successfully complete this course, the officer must be present for a minimum of 90% of the class hours and obtain a score of 75% or better on the final examination. Although 90% attendance is the minimum permitted for successful completion, the student is expected to attend all class sessions.

+Registration preference will be given to police officers from Morris, Essex and Union Counties
+Enrollment is limited to one (1) police officer per department.
