- S.A.N.E. / S.A.R.T. TRAINING
- This three hour in-service seminar is for all Morris County Law Enforcement Officers to familiarize them with the SANE/SART program. The presentation will outline the procedures involved with the criminal investigation of acute sexual assault cases involving child and adult victims. All aspects of the initial response will be covered including the role of the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners; the collection and control of forensic evidence; the medical examination process; legal issues; the legal rights of the victim; and response procedures by the police and investigators.
The SART approach to sexual assault is now the policy in Morris County. It is strongly recommended that law enforcement supervisors, detectives, and other likely responders attend this training program.
