- RAPID INTERVENTION CREW / SAFETY AND SURVIVAL WEEKEND

This 20 hour weekend course will cover the latest techniques in Rapid Intervention of saving lives as well as Safety and Survival techniques to saving ourselves. There will be numerous stations covering many subject areas. Some of the subjects to be covered are as follows:
- Managing the Mayday
- Ladder Bailout
- Mask Course
- Below Grade Rescue
- Upper Floor Rescue
- Several Victim Removal Techniques
Friday night will be a classroom session while Saturday and Sunday will be all hands on stations.
This weekend course will meet and exceed the state guidelines for Rapid Intervention Crews.
Class size: Minimum 25 students - Maximum 75 students
PRE-REQUISITE: Successful Completion of Fire Fighter 1 and no less than three years experience in the fire service. A letter stating active membership from the Fire Department Chief must accompany Registration for this course.
REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Full PPE including SCBA unit and Spare Cylinder
Documentation of successful completion must accompany registration if not
conducted by our staff at Morris County Public Safety Training Academy.
