ELEVATOR EMERGENCY

This is a basic introductory awareness course. Upon completion of the course, the participant should be able to understand the difference between a routine elevator incident and a true elevator emergency, the basic operation of elevators, the design features of elevator cars and elevator hoistways, the methods of accessing and controlling elevator cars in rescue incidents, the various elevator safety devices, the various methods of removing passengers from disable elevator cars, and pre-planning for elevator incidents.

Class size: Minimum 15 students - Maximum 30 students
